Are you a technology buff? You’re not alone. In this day and age, technology is all around us. It’s more important than ever to stay atop of the the latest revolutions in the science and technology field.
My name is Tom Klint and I am the owner and editor of this website. As a self proclaimed "computer nerd", I have spent many, many years working with technology. I am a self taught web designer and programmer. I started back on my Apple computer – the Macintosh – back in the early 80s. (check out this cool timeline of apple computers...you can see mine listed under The Lisa and the Macintosh section...crazy, right?) I also love gaming and partake in my local ham radio club. (Such a fun group of people!)
I believe computer programming and all subjects related to STEM are such an important part of today’s society, and should be taught to kids in school, starting at a young age. (By the way, if you do not know what STEM stands for, it means science, technology, engineering and math.) When I was in school, the closest thing we had to technology classes was AV club. (You bet I was a member LOL!) But nowadays, schools and teachers are preparing students for life with computers and technology and I couldn’t be happier about it.
My goal in making this website was to help the budding technology enthusiast to get better at programming, understand the history and evolution of technology and maybe consider a field in science, technology, engineering or math. My love of technology took me to my career path as a IT professional. (And my parents said I was wasting my time on computers back in the day….little did they know!
I hope you enjoy the resources I’ve included on this site. Please let me know if you have any questions. (You can find my contact form on the About Tom Klint page!)
